Dr. Wang Liang is a research associate professor and serves as the director of overseas cooperation department at the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) and the National Innovation Center par Excellence (NICE), China. He is in charge of fostering partnerships with more than 80 universities and research organizations globally, in addition to managing seven international innovation centers. Dr. Wang also contributes to the functioning of the WAITRO Secretariat. His career prior to joining JITRI/NICE in 2018 was focused on venture capital and incubator management in both Denmark and Beijing. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from Copenhagen Business School. In his current role, Wang Liang is also a Jiangsu Provincial Youth Friendship Ambassador and leads the "Belt and Road" Innovation Institute for International Cooperation on Agricultural Resources and Environment.
