Mr Stelios Petsas is a Member of the Hellenic Parliament since May 2023. He was Alternate Minister of Domestic Affairs (2021-2023), Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesman (2019-2021) and Director of the President Kyriakos Mitsotakis Office of Nea Demokratia Party (2018-2019).
He has experience in managerial positions in private and public sector. He was Fiscal Advisor to the President Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Nea Demokratia, Director of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Finance, Member of the Board of Directors of OTE S.A and Cosmote S.A., Member of the Bureau of the OECD’s Economic and Development Review Committee, Head of the Revenues Unit of the General Accounting Office and Economic Counselor of Greece to the OECD. He has participated as national expert in Institution Building Programs of the European Commission (Twinning Projects) and has represented Greece in various EU Working Groups and Committees.
Mr Petsas has also served as member of Committees and Working Groups on issues such as the reform of the Income Tax Code and the Procedures Tax Code, the Tax Expenditures Budget, the compensation system in the Public Sector and in Independent Administrative Authorities, the EU's own resources system.
Mr Petsas is a Graduate of the National School of Public Administration and holds Bachelor and Master's Degrees in International and European Studies. In addition, he has published books and articles on fiscal policy, international economics, structural reforms and European integration issues.
Mr Petsas speaks English and French, is married and has two daughters.
