Mr. Dimitrios Papadopoulos is the Chief Operation Officer of the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC). He has a degree in Political Science and Public Administration, a master’s degree in Public Policy, and he is a graduate of the Hellenic School of Public Administration. He works for the HGC since 2013. During his service, he has managed to deal with major regulatory and policy issues, the most important of which were related to the finalization of the licensing regime of online gaming providers in Greece and the concession agreements which are related to Integrated Resort Casinos (IRCs), as for instance the major investment of the IRC in Hellinicon. He is also representing the HGC in the Hellenic FIU. Currently, he is focusing on modifications related to the improvement of the Greek gambling regulations aiming at simplifications deemed necessary and introducing efficient practices of dealing with the illegal gambling networks.
