Giannis Karagiannis is the owner and CEO of Kapa Studios and J.K. Productions S.A. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic School, an MBA in Economics as well as participation in seminars for professional producers through the MEDIA program. In addition, has served as the President of the Association of Greek Television and Video Film Producers.
 
With over 26 years of experience in audio-visual productions, he has created in total around 100 television series, with an average of 5-6 per year. Among the years he has created some of the most popular television series in modern Greek television, "Wild Bees","Sasmos” and “The Witch”.
 
Understanding the need for even higher services, he created Kapa 2 Studios in Markopoulo which was inaugurated in 2019. KAPA 2 is the largest and most modern film studio complex in Greece that meets all the international standards and currently is expanding with two additional soundstages of 1.500m2 and 2.100 m2 with 15m2 height.
 
Today, Kapa Studios with two complexes, occupy an area of 90 acres, include twelve soundstages with a total area of 20,000 m2, ranging in size from 600 m2 to 2,100 m2 and 15.5 meters high, office spaces, and Backlots.
 
Kapa Studios has provided studio facilities for the productions of "Rise" for Disney +, "Crimes of the Future" by David Cronenberg, "My Big Greek Fat Wedding 3" by Nia Vardalos, “Handling the Undead” by Thea Hvistendahl, Apple Tv’s “Teheran”,“Killer Heat” for Amazon Studios and “House of David” for Canadian Television.
 
For the future, he aims at providing services to more international productions, be involved in international co–productions , as well as the promotion of its own produced Greek content in foreign markets.
