Lakis Lazopoulos was born in Larisa, Greece. He graduated in Law from the University of Thrace, Greece.
He completed his studies with an LLM in Criminal Law and Criminology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
While still at University he wrote his first play which was presented at the Thessaly Theatre.
Among his greatest successes in the theater are "Lysistrata" (1986), "Greece after the event" (1989), " There Was This Small Boat " (1990), "Alone at last" which was staged at CITY CENTER HALL in New York, " The Sunday of the Shoes " (1997), " Struggler on the Roof " 2008, "Sorry, I'm greek" (2012) show that toured many countries in Europe.
In 1997, WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS asked him to take on a Greek adaptation of the animated film «Hercules», voicing for heroes Phil and Panic. ROY DISNEY honoured him with the prize for the better adaptation in Europe.
From 1993 to 2003 he writes, directs and performs - more than 15 different roles - in the most successful television series of Greek television "Ten Little Jimmies".
From 2004 to 2016, he presents live the satirical news program "Al Tsantiri News". The longest-running live satirical show on Greek television, with ratings of up to 70%
In the cinema he has starred in the Australian-Greek film " Beware of the Greeks ", in "My Best Friend" in his own script and direction together with Giorgos Lanthimos, in "R20" as well as in the films of Yannis Smaragdis "El Greco" and " God Loves Caviar" starring Sebastian Koch.
In Epidaurus he has starred in Aristophanes' performances "Plutos",
" Acharnians " by the National Theater and "Frogs" with great success.
In 2009 he was ranked 83rd by the public in SKAI TV’s 100 Greatest Greeks of all time.
