Andonis Lemos studied law at Oxford University qualifying as a Barrister specialising in International Trade and thereafter joined his family’s shipping business.
Andonis and his brother Filippos have jointly founded a wide-ranging Group of shipping and trading companies, broadly referred to as the ENESEL Group, which also encompasses the family shipping business, and whose jurisdiction’s range from Europe to the middle East and South East Asia.
He has been a member of the Union of Greek Shipowners since 2012 and Vice President of the Union since 2022 he has also been a board member of The Swedish Club since 2005.
In addition to his professional achievements, Andonis is dedicated to philanthropic endeavours. Alongside Filippos, he has co-founded and serves as a primary donor to Common Seas, a charitable foundation that concentrates on mitigating the production and entry of plastics into the world's oceans. His philanthropic interests extend to several other areas, reflecting his passion for making a positive impact on the global community.
