Fanis Papathanasiou is a senior diplomatic correspondent in ERT, (Greek Public Television) with more than twenty-five years of experience covering major diplomatic and international events. A long time New York correspondent, based in Athens and he covers global crises, wars and a range of other major news events such us conflict zones in Iraq, Afghanistan, Crimea and in Middle East. He has anchored the coverage of many major diplomatic and international news stories including the war in Ukraine, and Syria, major developments in the Greek crises, bilateral Greek-Turkish meetings, the refugee crises, elections in USA, in Turkey, the wars in Iraq, in Afghanistan, the Israel-Lebanon conflict, the terrorist attacks in Paris, the 9/11 and many European Union and NATO Summits.
