Ambassador (ret.) Philip T. Reeker is Partner and Lead of the Europe & Eurasia practice at Dentons Global Advisors-Albright Stonebridge Group and Chair of the Global Europe Program at The Wilson Center in Washington.
Ambassador Reeker served as an American diplomat for more than 30 years, including as Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia (2019-21) and as Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Mission to the United Kingdom (2021-22). Before retiring from the Foreign Service he was the Secretary of State Blinken’s Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations. Earlier in Ambassador Reeker’s career he was U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia Civilian Deputy and Policy Advisor to the Commander of U.S. European Command, based in Germany
Consul General in Milan (responsible for northern Italy), and Deputy Chief of Mission in Budapest, Hungary. In Washington, he also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central Europe, the Balkans, and Holocaust Issues as Director of Press Relations
and as Deputy Spokesperson of the State Department.
An expert on Europe, transatlantic relations, and multilateral diplomacy, Amb. Reeker covered a wide range of issues during his time in government including, security and alliance management, conflict resolution, and public-private partnership.
