Monique El-Faizy is a Paris-based journalist, author, and moderator. She has written for a wide range of publications, including The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, France 24, the Guardian, the Washington Post, and the Financial Times. She is the author of “God and Country: How Evangelicals Have Become America’s New Mainstream” and the co-author of “All the President’s Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator.”
El-Faizy has worked in print, digital, and broadcast journalism and has been based in Egypt, Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and the United States. She is a lecturer at the Sciences Po university, a former fellow at the World Policy Institute, a former board member of Doctors of the World-USA, and a co-founder of Mwikali’s Gift, a 501(c)3 relief organization working in the village of Usalama, Kenya.
El-Faizy has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a MSJ from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
