Besart Kadia completed his studies at Radley College, UK (2002-2004), and subsequently pursued higher education at the University of Bristol, UK, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Politics (2004-2007) and a Master of Science in Economics and Finance (2008-2009). Since 2009, he has been an academic staff member at the European University of Tirana as part of the Brain Gain Program in Albania, where he also completed his Ph.D. focusing on Institutional Transformation in Eastern Europe (2014-2017). Between 2009-2013, Kadia served as the national coordinator for the Regional Programme on the Promotion of Scientific Research in the Social Sciences in Albania, a project led by the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and mandated by the Swiss Development Cooperation. In 2011, he worked as a Financial Mathematics Trainer for Procredit Bank and has experience as an auditor for Ernst and Young Assurance and Business Advisory Services (2007-2008). From 2013 to 2017, he was the Executive Director of the Foundation for Economic Freedom, dedicating his efforts to scientific research and the promotion of libertarian ideas in Albania through publications, conferences, and training sessions. During this period, he was also part of the Atlas Network in Washington DC, receiving the Smith Fellowship in 2016, and served as the national coordinator for the Austrian Economic Centre's European Free Market Road Show initiative from 2005 to 2020.
