Kyriaki Mitroussi

Dr. Kyriaki Mitroussi has about twenty years’ experience as an academic. She holds a BSc with Honours from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Master’s of Science in Marine Policy and a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, (Ph.D.) in Management and Business from Cardiff University, UK. She currently works for the Union of Greek Shipowners as Head of the Foreign Affairs Department.
Kyriaki was Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Business School and Director of the Postgraduate Programmes, Master of Science in Marine Policy and Diploma in Port and Shipping Administration, for most of her academic career. Prior to that, she held a Lecturer position at the University of Piraeus, Department of Maritime Studies. Kyriaki has also served as a Visiting Professor at Reading University, UK, The Open University of Greece, London Metropolitan University, UK, ALBA Graduate Business School and others. She has worked with shipping companies and has also been involved in consultancy services. Her research work has widely been published in renowned international academic journals and high-profile books while articles of hers have also appeared in the international commercial and economic press.
Kyriaki is married and mother of a daughter.
