Maria Samolada is a journalist
She began her career in 2000 and has worked in a wide range of media, including Alter Channel, Radio Thessaloniki 94.5, Real Fm 107.1, Myportal.gr, encompassing reporting, broadcasting and news releases.
She was the director and general manager of the economic and political online newspaper Grtimes.gr, while presenting a YouTube show focusing on one-on-one interviews until October 2023. She is the editor of the Journal of the Police Alliance of Thessaloniki, the force’s professional body publication. She was the editor and presenter of the TV show "Blue Moon" with one-on-one profile interviews on the channel TV100.
Currently, she prevents and produces a daily informative radio show, with political, economic, current affairs and cultural issues at City 106.1 FM, is in charge of the press office at Noesis and she maintains a personal blog at Samtimes.gr
Since 2015, Maria Samolada has also been devoting time in spearheading an innovative programme against bullying, www.LiveWithoutBullying.com, an action that has recently lead her to be honoured with the journalist award of the Botsi Foundation.
She was born, and continues to live and work in Thessaloniki by choice. She is the mother of a son and a member of the Union of Daily Newspaper Journalists of Macedonia - Thrace.
