She was born in 1958 in Athens, with origin from Lixouri, Kefalonia.
She is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens and studied music (piano) at the Athens Conservatory. She was among the first to enter the judiciary in 1984.
She served at the prosecution office at the First Instance Court of Heraklion and Athens and at the Court of Appeal of Nafplio and Athens. In 2019 she was promoted to Vice Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court and as from 28th July 2023 she is appointed General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Greece.
As Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal she served at the National Intelligence Service (EYP), as Supervisor of the prosecutors and also as Head of the Department of the Five-Member Court of Appeal for Felonies.
As Vice Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court she was appointed, by decision of the High Judicial Council of the Supreme Court, Supervisor and Coordinator of the work of the Greek Financial Crime Prosecutors. She was also responsible for the protection of minors and co-operated with her colleagues and many competent state and civil society services and bodies, international organizations, etc. with the scope of providing solutions to cases concerning unaccompanied minors, foster care and adoption etc. by issuing relevant circulars and opinions, participating in working groups and seminars.
During her prosecutorial career she handled many important cases. As Prosecutor at the First Instance Court she submitted a proposal to the competent Judicial Council based on which the responsible parties for the collapse of “Rikomex” factory, resulting in death of 39 people in the aftermath of the earthquake in 1999, were referred to trial for "intentional homicide with probable cause". As Prosecutor at the Three-Member Court of Appeal of Athens she tried the former Minister Apostolos Athanasios Tsochatzopoulos. Finally, as Vice Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court she handled, in her capacity as Prosecutor of the Judicial Council in accordance with Article 86 of the Greek Constitution, the case of the television license competition of 2016, drafting the relevant referral proposal.
She speaks French (holder of a Superieur III diploma) and English. She is married and mother of two children.
