Mr. Borosan is Secretary of State at the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova, overseeing three portfolios: thermal energy and cogeneration, electricity, natural gas and oil. He has been heavily involved in Moldova's efforts to overcome the energy crisis after 2022 and in the creation of the new Ministry of Energy in 2023.

 

Prior to his government work, Mr. Borosan was employed in multiple foreign assistance projects in the field of energy, cooperating with UNDP Moldova, GIZ and NIRAS Finland Oy. In civil society, Mr. Borosan co-founded and then led the National Energy Council in 2020-2021. He is also a lecturer at the Technical University of Moldova, where he is working on his PhD on Energy Systems and Technologies.
