Michalis Mathioulakis is an Energy Strategy Analyst, the Academic Director of the Greek Energy Forum, and a Research Associate at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy. He has substantial experience in the financial sector as a stock and derivatives analyst, he has been a lecturer of Finance and Risk Analysis modules in Executive MBA programs in Greece and is providing consulting services on energy strategy and management for institutions and organizations associated with the energy sector. He holds an MSc in Energy Strategy Law & Economics, an MSc in Strategic Studies, a BA in Economics, and a BA in Political Science. His research at the Department of International Studies in the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, focuses on the correlation between balance of power and energy strategy, and the security dilemmas generated by shifts in energy flows.
