Vasileios G. Petousis has led a respected career in Environmental and Energy Engineering, covering a range of roles from hands-on engineering to strategic management. After earning his degree in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2008 and pursuing further studies in Environmental Engineering at New York University, he started his career at Langan Engineering Inc. in the USA. There, he worked as an Environmental Engineer, focusing on addressing environmental challenges and adhering to regulatory standards, which provided him with a solid foundation in the environmental aspects of industrial operations.

 

In 2012, Petousis joined Motor Oil Hellas, taking on roles that gradually led him to specialize in strategic energy management. By 2015, he had taken on the role of Production Planning and Energy Excellence Engineer, where he was key in driving operational efficiency and sustainability within the company’s operations.

 

His career path then took a turn towards commodity trading, with a focus on Aviation and Military Fuels, reflecting his deep understanding of the energy sector. In 2022, Petousis took on a role at Seanergy Maritime Holdings as Energy & Sustainability Manager, affirming his commitment to promoting sustainability and energy efficiency in the maritime industry.

 

Throughout his career, Petousis has shown a strong ability to address operational and technical challenges, optimize energy systems, and champion the use of alternative fuels, highlighting his commitment to environmental improvement and innovation.
