Jennifer Clarke PhD is Director of Programmes & Grants at the Bodossaki Foundation in Greece, where she manages a grantmaking portfolio exceeding €20 million and cultivates partnerships with more than 30 other grantmakers. She also serves as Programme Director the Active Citizens Fund in Greece, supported through a €15m grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as part of the EEA Grants 2014 – 2021, for which Bodossaki Foundation, in consortium with SolidarityNow, is Fund Operator. Jennifer also represents Bodossaki Foundation on the Alliance for Gender Equality in Europe. She previously pioneered Bodossaki Foundation’s civil society capacity building work, leading its NGO hub, Social Dynamo, which has empowered more than 1,400 civil society organisations. Jennifer has over two decades of international experience in nonprofit management and grantmaking, having previously worked for institutional donors and international NGOs. She holds a BA in Social & Political Science from the University of Cambridge, an MA from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a PhD from the University of Kent. She has authored numerous academic articles and co-authored Austerity and the Third Sector in Greece: Civil Society at the European Frontline (Routledge 2015).
