Alexandre Escorcia is a career French diplomat who has specialised in security policy and defence issues. Before his current role, he was the Deputy Permanent Representative of France to NATO from 2019-2023 and previously served as Advisor to Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault (2016-2017), Deputy Head of Policy Planning (2017-2019), Counselor at the French Embassy in Berlin (2013-2016), and Deputy Political Advisor to NATO SACT (2009-2012), among other roles. He speaks French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, and a bit of Greek, Russian and Dutch. He has published books and articles about information manipulation and European defence policy.
