Stelios Kavadias

Professor Stelios Kavadias holds the Margaret Thatcher Chair in Enterprise Studies in Innovation and Growth at the Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge (CJBS), where he founded and currently serves as the Academic Director of its Entrepreneurship Centre. He is an expert on the innovation and growth challenges of small and large organizations and shares his 20+ years of experience with senior leaders across the Executive MBA programme of CJBS, as well as its open and custom executive education programmes. He directs the Advanced Leadership programme, its most senior open enrolment ExEd programme, and the Barclays Scale UK programme offered by CJBS. He has led several custom programmes on innovation with major corporations like HSBC, Barclays, Bayer AG, AstraZeneca, the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, KPMG, the Financial Times Group etc.
As a preeminent scholar of innovation, he edits the department for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Management Science. Recently his works on transformative business models and new approaches for strategic innovation portfolios featured in Harvard Business Review. He also led a Barclays sponsored report on scale-ups in the UK. He has authored award winning case studies
he speaks at leadership events and consults for major corporations. He (has) serves(d) as an advisor and board member in different start-ups, and the Academic Council of ALBA in Greece.
Prior to joining CJBS, Stelios held the Steven A. Denning Chair of Technology and Management at Georgia Tech in the USA, where he directed the Denning Technology and Management Program. He has also been a Fellow at the Batten Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Darden Business School of the University of Virginia. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from INSEAD and a Diploma (MSc Equivalent) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (“Metsovio”).
