Erick Doyle
Owner/Operator
Readington River Farm, United States
Along with his family, Erick founded Readington River Farm in 1995 in rural New Jersey. It is a 235 acre preserved farm dedicated to raising American bison to service the meat store located on the property. Over the years, he became very involved with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to become a model for land stewardship for farms with highly erodable soils. From there, he searched for and established relationships with Rutgers University, NJ Audubon, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and some regional NGO's to promote management practices that benefit the land. Today, Readington River Farm is a showcase for the partner entities which seek to promote their efficacy for further funding and outreach.
Erick became active with New Jersey's Agricultural Leadership Development Program in 2007, which promotes its members into taking an active role in advocacy for agriculture. After graduating, he was appointed to the NJ State Board of Agriculture, and was President in his 6th year.
He is the proud father of 2 daughters, Piper (17) and Sadie (15).
