Panagiotis (Panos) Tournavitis was born in Karditsa, Greece in 1978. He is CEO and
Executive member of the Board of Directors of Cooperative Bank of Karditsa. He is also Vise- President of the Board of Directors and member of the Executive Committee of European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks (FEBEA). He is a member of Task Force on Cooperative Affairs in the European Association of Co-operative Banks and a member of Business Development and IT Steering Committee in the Association of Cooperative Banks of Greece.
He holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece, and an MBA from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. His key competences include Social Finance, Microfinance, project management and sustainable development. He is actively participating in many committees and has highly invested in the social finance and financial literacy agenda in Greece, through ongoing EU projects and policy forums.
