Oh, how to describe the UWC? It is difficult to put a part of life in just a few words. Intense, bridging, challenging, fulfilling, bridging and holistic. I'm Karlo, a student, brother, friend, son and sportsman. Apart from UWC, handball, family and friends are of huge importance in my life. Driven by profound curiosity and a genuine wish for multicultural dialogue and understanding, I have joined the UWC

movement to, first, learn for myself and let the bigger picture and new knowledge and opportunities be presented to me, and secondly, to help others see something new through me. Coming from a community that is not so enamoured of the values and ideals of the UWC, it made it possible to see both the positives and negatives of both sides, which is for me the most important thing, as that is the only way to properly evaluate things.
