Nikos Alagialoglou is the Country Director of Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) for Greece and Southeast Europe. With over 12 years of experience in the offshore wind industry across various geographies, Nikos is a leading figure in enabling the establishment of a new offshore wind industry in Greece.
As the Country Director of COP, Nikos spearheads the company's endeavors in Greece, working exclusively with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), the world's largest dedicated fund manager within greenfield renewable energy investments with EUR 28 billion and offshore wind portfolio of 50+ GW. Under his leadership, CIP aims to develop offshore wind projects in the Greek seas in partnership with MYTILINEOS.
Nikos's journey in the offshore wind sector began in Denmark back in 2009, where he lived for many years and contributed to COP's global portfolio across Europe, the US, and APAC regions. His previous experience includes working with another offshore wind leader, the Danish utility Ørsted.
In addition to his role as Country Director, Nikos heads COP's Global Hub in Greece, overseeing a team of around 20 talented individuals supporting COP's 17 offices worldwide. He is committed to ramping up the Greek Hub to align with the company's exponential growth and global operations.
Nikos holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Planning and Management from Aalborg University in Denmark, complemented by a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Democritus University in Greece.
His comprehensive expertise and leadership position him as a key influencer in shaping the future of offshore wind energy in Greece and Southeast Europe.
