Stjepan Orešković combines his scientific expertise with entrepreneurial insight.
In the business sector, he contributes as both an investor and a leader. Orešković established the Mplus Group, a company that has seen substantial growth under his Orešković family guidance, expanding its workforce from 300 to over 14,700 employees and increasing its revenue from 3 to 500 million EUR in under five years. The Mplus Group is recognized for issuing Europe’s first sustainability-linked bond in the technology services sector and has made significant strides globally through strategic acquisitions, operating across 62 markets. This achievement earned the company the "Challenger Provider of the Year" title from the Global Sourcing Alliance.
Orešković is focused on research and education in academia. He has collaborated with institutions across America and Europe, including Zagreb, Harvard, Sorbonne, Indiana, Bocconi, and Ljubljana Universities. Hi is the founder and director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for HIV Strategic Information, which has trained 2,600 students from 111 countries.
His scholarly work includes authoring 156 peer-reviewed articles, underscoring his commitment to advancing knowledge.
Orešković has been honored with several awards, including the Nikola Tesla Award for Ethical Business from Transparency International, Pfizer’s Global GRAND award, and the presidential Order of the Croatian Star for his contributions to healthcare and social welfare. He is also a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
