Plamena Nenkova is the Deputy Executive Director of GBS in charge of “International Affairs & Sustainable Development”.
Her expertise includes engagement in all phases of EU and other donor funding programmes, i.e.: drafting and submission of applications, contract’s signature, contract management and reporting. Nenkova possesses sufficient experience in the field of international affairs and business development, being responsible for: the GBS membership and active participation in international/ EU sectoral and industry associations
maintenance of contacts with international partners
foreign business negotiations, etc. She is also heading the company EU Liaison Office in Brussels, as well as the GBS Representative Offices in Washington D.C. and Vienna.
Prior to joining GBS in 2019, Ms. Nenkova had 10 years of professional experience in the gas energy sector and 7 years in the non-governmental sector.
