Monika Tsiliberdi

Head of the Directorate for the Development of Contemporary Creation of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture

Monika Niki Tsiliberdi is the head of the Directorate for the Development of Contemporary Creation of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. She studied Archeology and Art History at the University of Athens (BA) and Landscape Studies at the University of Leicester (MA). She has worked as an art historian at Michalarias’ and Christie's Auction Houses and as a journalist for magazines and public television. She is a graduate of the National School of Public Administration and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Panteion University, focusing on co-working art spaces. She represents the Ministry of Culture in international organizations as an expert on issues related to the Cultural and Creative Sector, cultural innovation and entrepreneurship and on working and security conditions of the cultural professionals (the Status of the Artist). She teaches contemporary art management and design of inclusive and accessible art events at the Institute of Education and the National School of Public Administration
