Sonia Saranti is a Partner and Head of the Banking & Finance practice at Machas & Partners Law.

 

She advises domestic and foreign clients in financing transactions and structured credit, credit management, as well as on the restructuring from a sell and buy side of distressed debt, among others, through securitisations. She is very active in corporate restructurings and currently working on a notable cross border merger, following the very recent implementation of the respective framework in Greek law. She is particularly interested in the potential of the Greek market to develop customized solutions in the realm of technology financing.

 

Sonia graduated from the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace and, thereafter, pursued an LLM in Transnational and European Commercial Law and Energy Law at the International Hellenic University and an MSc in Law and Finance (finance major) at Queen Mary University of London.
