Basil Gavalas, Managing Partner of Nicosia-based ASININ International Trade Corporation and Athens based Milhous Associates Consultancy and Development Corporation, is a trader and consultant, advising corporations and governments in Greece and the Middle East, especially in the sectors of defense, healthcare and strategic commodities. Basil is also member of the Leadership Council of the New York Times-affiliated Democracy and Culture Foundation, based in London, Strategic Council Member of DIKTIO - Network for Reform, one of Greece’s major think tanks, member of RUSI and VP of the Hellenic Iraqi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the past, we was advisor with the senior leadership of the Greek Government and top think tanks in Greece and Europe. He has also advised fmr. EU Commissioners and has collaborated on special projects with f. Heads of State as well as governments in the Middle East, where he’s active in a variety of ventures. He is an art addict and a published poet.
