A graduate in administrative science (FH) and Master of Laws (LL.M.), he was a member of the German Bundestag from 2013-2021, representing the constituency of North Saxony. As a member of parliament, he was, among other things, a member of the Committee on Internal Affairs, Chairman of the Petitions Committee and President of the THW-Bundesvereinigung e.V. Thematically, he dealt with issues of migration, civil protection and digitalization. Wendt has also been active for the KAS at numerous events as a speaker and participant in delegations. From 2010-2013, he was a research assistant to Manfred Kolbe MP (CDU). In 2009, he completed an internship with US Congressman Russ Carnahan in Washington D.C. Marian Wendt is a trained volunteer for the civil protection service THW and worked as a paramedic in the Berlin rescue service. He is born 1985 in Torgau (Saxony) and a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
