Vassilis Koutsoumpas

Vassilis is a lawyer (LL.B/LL.M) and has worked at the intersection of law and policy with a strong background in NGO management and development. He has served as a policy advisor at the General Secretariat of the Hellenic Government and the Mayor of Athens, conducting legislative research and drafting legislation on cornerstone pieces of legislation on the digitization of the public sector and emergency measures to combat the COVID-19 crisis. In his latter capacity, he focused on social welfare policy, making services more inclusive and accessible and connected the Municipality with civil society organizations through partnerships and shared initiatives.
Vassilis is also the Co-founder and f.Executive Director of WeFor
an NGO focused on tackling the biggest challenges faced by Gen Z. He was ranked at the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Greece and presented the work of WeFor at the World Economic Forum. He is enrolled in the Master’s in Public Policy (graduating May’24) degree at Georgetown University where he was awarded a Georgetown University Merit Scholarship and the Onassis Foundation Scholarship to attend the program. He has worked as a Consulting Associate for Brunswick Group providing consulting services to financial institutions and the tech industry on emerging markets and corporate positioning.
Vassilis is also a Clinton Foundation Fellow. He speaks English, French, German and Greek.
