Prof. Nikolaus S. Lang is a Managing Director and Senior Partner in BCG’s Munich office and has been working for the firm since 1998. Nikolaus is the Global Vice Chair of BCG’s Global Advantage practice, supporting clients on an array of globalization-related topics: geopolitics, international trade, investment flows, joint ventures, and digital ecosystems. Nikolaus lived in Asia for ten years and has worked in most of the world’s emerging markets.

As a global expert in connectivity, autonomous driving, and urban mobility, Nikolaus is the Founder and Director of BCG’s Center for Mobility Innovation, a team of urban mobility experts and digital business builders.

He is the author or coauthor of more than 150 publications on geopolitics, international trade, joint ventures, and mobility trends—ranging from his book Beyond Great, describing successful corporate strategies in a rapidly changing world, to a recent article for the World Economic Forum on the nine forces shaping the global business landscape.
