Yannis Zormpas

Yannis Zormpas is a Project Leader in the Athens office of the Boston Consulting Group, with multi-year experience in organizational design and people management topics.
He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Engineering Department of the Hellenic Air Force Academy, and a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he studied under the Andreas A. David scholarship, focusing on international business and trade relations.
Prior to consulting, he worked as a commissioned officer in the Hellenic Air Force, retiring with the rank of Major. During his tenure in the military, he served in various engineering, training, leadership, and program management roles. In the latter capacity, he represented the Hellenic Ministry of Defense in EU research & development projects, collaborating with international academic, business, and governmental organizations.
In his current role at BCG, Yannis partners with firms, especially in the Financial Institutions and Energy industries in Greece and internationally, to help them address critical organizational management issues. His expertise covers people management across themes, with particular emphasis on people strategy development, career paths & succession planning, talent acquisition and development, and strategic workforce planning. Combining this knowledge with his work on operating model and governance design, he also contributes to the broader HR excellence practice in BCG.
Yannis speaks fluent English and is conversational in German.
