Dr George Tzetzis is a professor and Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Life Long Learning, International Relations and Outreach of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He served as a Dean and a President of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He is a visiting professor in several universities in Greece (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Democritus University of Thrace, University of Thessaly, University of Athens) and abroad (USA Europe). His research studies are focused on sport management and marketing, sport events, sport tourism, physical education and physical activity. He has to present many research publications in scientific journals books and chapters. He was an invited speaker in many scientific congresses and he is a reviewer and editor in many scientific journals. He received honours for his academic excellence and for his contribution from scientific and professional organizations. He coordinated several European Union funded research projects. He has also professional experiences since he worked in major events such as 2004 Olympic Games, and national sports organizations. He was the President of the Hellenic Association for Sport Management, the President of the Hellenic Academy of Physical Education and a member of the board of the European Association for Sport Management.
