Manolis J. Papagrigorakis graduated from the School of Dentistry of the National Kapodistrian University in Athens, and also attended the Medical School of the same
University.
He specialized in Orthodontics in the University of Bergen, Norway, focusing on people with disabilities and sleep apnea. He has served for many years as General Supervisor of Studies of the Postgraduate Program of Museology of the University of Athens.

He has written four books, while dozens of his papers have been published in international journals, such as Nature, Scientific American, International Journal of Infectious Diseases and others. A number of his research studies, outside the Dental-Orthodontic scientific field, concern the morphology of the craniofacial complex of ancient and modern Greeks.
His involvement of many years with Archeology and Archeopathology - Paleopathology led him to the reconstruction of the face of Myrtis, a girl who lived in ancient Athens of 430 BC, as well as that of the Mesolithic woman Avgi, of 7000 BC.
