Dr Dimitra Kizlari is a subject matter expert in cultural policy.
She is currently working for The National Lottery Heritage Fund in the United Kingdom as an Investment Manager overseeing a portfolio of heritage projects with a combined value of £11.5 million. Her case load includes community heritage projects as well as projects involving the restoration and reinterpretation of collections, historic sites, and monuments.
In previous roles, she worked in the music industry doing analysis on royalty distributions paid out to composers, lyricists and music publishers.
She has also worked as an external evaluator for the European Commission in the framework of the Creative Europe and Horizon Europe programmes.
In terms of her educational formation, Dimitra has completed studies in Archaeology and Museology at the Aristotle University in Greece. She gained her doctorate from University College London in the UK. She has been the recipient of prestigious scholarships, including from the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation and the A.G. Leventis Foundation. Associated with her PhD, Dimitra co-edited a volume on Greece’s diplomatic efforts in the area of culture published in 2021 by Epikentro Publishers.
