Dr. Kyriacos Sabatakakis is the Country Managing Director of Accenture in Greece with responsibility for several markets in Southeastern Europe, overseeing a practice of more than 2,400 Consultants.

He has held this position since September 2003 and has led multiple projects both in Greece and internationally on strategy, business transformation, technology, operations and digital entrepreneurship in big corporations and organizations. From 2003 to 2008, he was also responsible for Accenture’s global mobile network business. He worked for many years with Andersen Consulting in Zurich as well as high tech companies in Switzerland.

He holds a BSc from Yale University, an MSc from Dartmouth College and a PhD from the National Technical University of Athens.

Driven by rapid advances in technology, the focus on infrastructure is expanding beyond roads and bridges to include a wide range of infrastructure to support R&D and innovation. This spans the modernization of existing public and academic laboratory facilities to meeting the skyrocketing need for computing power for AI, to physical places that foster the collaboration between industry and the research community that drives innovation. Panelists will explore these needs, new models, and the challenges of investment and access to this critical infrastructure.
