Emmanouil Tsalamanios is president of the Hellenic Society of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Director of the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric and Director of the Psychiatric Sector of the “Asklepieio Voulas” General Hospital as well. He is also a family therapist. He was trained for one year in «Adolescent psychiatric psychopathology (research and psychotherapy)» at Baylor College of Medicine, and in «OCD Program» in Houston, TX.
He has many years of experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, especially in the training of specialized child and adolescent psychiatrists. He is a regular member of the examination committee of the specialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is also member of the National Committee of Mental Health. Moreover, he is Vice Present of the Hellenic Center of Mental Health and is a member of the Board of the Hellenic Society for the Study of ADHD.
He holds a master degree in «Bioethics» and has a special interest in morality in autism. In 2004, he was awarded for his research project in «Children of Somatically Ill Parents» with International Donald Cohen Fellowship for new researchers at the 16th World Congress of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP), Berlin, Germany.
