Angelos is the Managing Director of SOTIRIA Technology
a Greece-based, deep-tech company developing underwater intelligence systems tailored to mission critical Defense and National Security applications. SOTIRIA Technology is the only Greek company to be selected by NATO flagship innovation initiative (DIANA - the first ever multi-sovereign 1 billion fund), out of 1300+ applications globally and was also recognized by MIT Technology Review with the title Innovators Under35 Europe.
Angelos has a Mechanical Engineering background from the National Technical University of Athens and postgraduate studies in Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management.
He has served as Procurement and Sustainability Manager at Anheuser Busch Inbev (ABI), the world’s largest beer producer, with the mandate to lead the sustainability and innovation transformation of the European Supply Chain network. During this period, Angelos initiated the collaboration of ABI with the World Economic Forum’s initiative “Road-Freight Zero” and formed a strategic alliance with the Colruyt Group for the acceleration of the Hydrogen Economy in Europe. Just before ABI he worked as a Supply Chain Engineer at the headquarters of Toyota Motors Europe in Brussels.
Angelos was awarded in 2017 the 1st sustainability award by KPMG for his research in the field of intelligent charging of electric vehicles. Since January 2021, he has the honor to serve as an elected member at the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Supply Chain Association. Angelos has been a swimming champion and a member of the Greek National Team. He is a WSET level II certified wine enthusiast.
