Dr. Vassia Tegoulia is a Senior Director in Pharma Technical Development in Genentech, a Member of the Roche Group. Dr. Tegoulia’s career in biotechnology spans more than 20 years. She started her career at Genentech as a bioprocess engineer working on drug substance process development and technology transfer for novel therapeutics and on facility design including the design of the largest bioprocess facility in North America. Vassia then led Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) teams responsible for the end to end development of novel biologics. In 2008, she transitioned to CMC Regulatory where she developed regulatory strategies, oversaw submissions and worked with Health Authorities to enable clinical trial initiations, new product market entries and life cycle management. In 2013, she built and managed the CMC Regulatory Biologics Portfolio Management Office for Roche. Vassia moved to Pharma Technical Development in 2017 and currently leads a highly innovative technical organization that enables accelerated biologics drug product formulation development, process development, commercialization and continuous improvement across the product life cycle.

Vassia received her Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University and her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware in the US.
