Toplica Spasojevic was born in 1956. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.
During his career, from 1981 to 1992 in Yugoslavia Commerce, he was in various managerial positions, from sector director to general manager and chairman of the Board of Directors. From 1992 to 1993, he was Director of MTI London in the UK, and then Director of Delta MTI Moscow in the period from 1993 to 1997 in Russia. At the beginning of the 1990s, He co-founded ITM, where he held the position of General Manager, and since 1999 he has been in the position of President of ITM Group. Since its beginning, ITM has quickly become the leader of Southeast Europe in distribution, logistics and production. Collaboration with world-renowned companies and brands, such as: Sony, Nike, Gillette, L’Oréal, GlaxoSmithKline, Unilever, SCA, Tommy Hilfiger, Siemens, Bosch and others. ITM is also a significant leader in coal, steel, petrochemical products, raw materials and equipment for the brewing and food industry. Today he is the president of the ITM system, which has several companies in the field of distribution, logistics, production (food and metal products). He also chairs the Energoplan system, which is the representative of Andritz hydro, the world’s largest producer of power plant equipment .
Today he is active as Vice President of the Advisory Board of NALED; member of the Assembly of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of the Association of Employers of Serbia, member of the Presidency of the Association of Economists of Serbia, member of the club “Privrednik”. He was President of the Association of Corporate Directors of Serbia (UKDS), Vice President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of NALED, Member of the National Competitiveness Council of the Republic of Serbia, Member of the Council of the Ministry of Economy, Member of the National Council for Economic Recovery, President of the Expert Council for Superbrands Serbia 2012/13, member of the Management Board of Generali Insurance, member of the Board of Directors of Youth Achievements, as well as other organizations. He was a member of the SD “Red Star”, a member of the Board of Directors of the BC “Red Star” and president of FC “Red Star”, as well as the President of the Board of the Tennis Association of Serbia. For his advocacy efforts, Sony and Nike have awarded him the international management awards. He received the award of the Business Journalists’ Club of Serbia Businessman 2006, Awards of the Decade of Business in 2011, as well as the business year (Planet Business Prize) for 2011.
